Vanessa has degrees in Interior Design (Ensign College) and Psychology (Brigham Young University). She firmly believes that a well-designed living space is an under-appreciated contributor to mental well-being. Good design starts with a genuine understanding of the client, their lifestyle and future goals. Because most of life’s memories are made at home, investing in the beauty and function of your home is an investment in your family’s happiness.
In addition to working on high-end custom homes, Vanessa has also worked with new builders to create and refine their design programs and design centers. Vanessa currently leads the team at Maven as the Business Manager along with her residential and commercial design responsibilities.
When she is not working, Vanessa runs marathons, plays the piano, hikes, reads, cooks (especially international foods), attends all types of college sporting events and continues to remodel her current home. She travels as much as possible and her time living in New York, Budapest, Washington DC, deepened her love of quality architecture and design in all forms and styles.
Crystal Hintze serves as the Lead Interior Designer for Maven Design Co., having been with the company for several years. As lead designer she oversees partnerships with homeowners looking to create their forever home. Her work has been seen in Parade of Homes throughout Utah. She prides herself on adhering to client aesthetics while opening up options with color, texture, and new appeal.
Prior to joining Maven Design Co. Crystal operated her own firm for seven years, overseeing both commercial and residential projects. In addition, she worked directly with developers to create residential neighborhoods, offering exterior appeal that was cohesive and complemented local landscapes. Before starting her own firm Crystal worked on exclusive home interior design projects based in Austin, Texas on Lake Austin.
Crystal holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburg. She is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, serves on the Board of Directors of the Utah Valley Home Builders Association, and has served as the parade chair for the Utah Valley Parade of Homes. She designed two Cougar houses and one Wolverine house, with the proceeds from the sale of each home going to endowed scholarships at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University. Her work has garnered Judge’s Choice awards and People’s Choice in numerous Parade of Homes. She enjoys traveling with her family and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings.
Katherine Morrill has been with Maven Design Co. for over a year. She works with Maven clients in home selections and furniture procurement. She loves helping clients to explore a variety of ideas to help them achieve their perfect home aesthetic. Katherine has previously worked in the custom furniture world. During her time of working for different retailers, she helped stage in the Utah Valley Parade of Homes. She also worked with clients during remodels to find furniture pieces to fit into their updated spaces.
Katherine has an Interior Design degree from Salt Lake Community College. In 2018, she completed in FCCLA Star Events in the entrepreneurship division with a focus in interior design. She was awarded first in state and a gold medal at the national competition. She enjoys travelling and spending time with family.
